Rotary Club of Dover members entertained the Presidents, members and guests of the Rotary Clubs of Aachen in Germany and St Omer in France when they visited Dover for the annual Tripartite gathering in September. After a reception at Biggin Hall on the Friday evening the guests were entertained at Dover Transport Museum before being taken by vintage London bus to Sandwich where they were given a guided tour of the Guildhall and were met by the Mayor, Cllr Paul Graeme, a Sandwich Rotarian. After spending the afternoon enjoying the hospitality in Sandwich the three clubs came together for a Dinner in the Stone Hall of Dover Town Hall on the Saturday evening and the following day after a brunch at The Fox in Temple Ewell the guests returned to their home towns.

The weekend had been organized by International Chairman David Fisher with support from members of his committee and the event cements a long-standing arrangement of co-operation and fellowship between the three clubs who co-operate on an international level on various projects. Currently the Aachen and Dover Clubs are engaged in a programme of assisting refugees being assimilated into the German culture.
